An elegant black wooden baby chest of drawers for the nursery

With its natural blond oak finish, the Marcel nursery chest is a distinctive piece within the Galipette range. It features finishes that make it stand out from traditional wooden chests. Note the white grooving that adorns the front of the unit on either side of the drawers facing upwards. The drawer knobs have a rounded shape to add a fun touch, and are made from black ABS decorated with white inserts. In another interesting touch of style, the plain white legs and lower shelf enhance the design of the Marcel chest. To ensure it is robust and lightweight, the panels are made from wooden particleboard and the legs are made from white ABS. This child’s chest has three drawers, each measuring 46 cm deep to provide excellent storage space for baby’s things. They are trimmed with textile effect polypropylene and fixed onto grey roller drawer runners. To avoid disturbing baby’s sleep, the drawers have soft-close mechanisms. The 91 cm height has been especially selected to make it a changer chest if you do not already have a changing unit. The Marcel changing board is especially designed to fit on this chest, with an elegant contrasting white finish. The chest is 95 cm wide and boasts enough space for setting out the baby care products you need for changing nappies, for example. The entire range of Galipette furniture is produced using an eco-design approach. To create an environment that is as healthy as possible for little ones, we have reduced the amount of solvents used to achieve a level that is two times lower than the European standard. Preserving the planet for future generations is an absolute necessity for us. This is why we call upon wood suppliers located within 300 km of our factories.
