Ingenious and economical, the Marcel cot bed converts into a junior bed using the optional panels. Really practical, it takes just a few minutes to convert the cot. Remove the railings and replace them with the panels. That’s it! The bed retains the same 70 x 140 cm dimensions, meaning there’s no need to create more space or rearrange the layout of your child’s bedroom.
In a nod to the elegant styling of the Marcel collection, the panels are made from wooden particleboard and feature a blond oak finish. This means that, once converted, the bed blends in perfectly with the other furniture in the room such as the three-door wardrobe or the chest of three drawers.
When’s the best time to install the panels? Once your little one reaches the age of 3, they start being capable of getting in and out of bed on their own. Now’s the time to remove the railings from the cot and install the bed panels. Once converted, you can keep the bed until your child’s fifth birthday. This means there’s no need to buy a new bed during these first five years.
Like all the children’s furniture in our Galipette collections, the amount of solvents used has been reduced to a minimum in order to care for our little ones’ environment. Their level is two times lower that the standard set out by the European Union. Preserving the planet and its resources is also just as important for us. That’s why our suppliers take their wood from sustainably managed French forests located within 300 km of our factories. This means that we reduce our carbon footprint whilst reducing superfluous transport. From your point of view, your purchases have less impact on the planet and you are not contributing to deforestation.
