As part of the successful Gautier group which started out producing children’s bedrooms 60 years ago, the Galipette brand is driven by the ambition to create the best possible surroundings for little ones aged 0 to 5. This is achieved through our exacting standards in terms of furniture design, as well as our determination to draw on Vendée-based expertise in our manufacturing processes, working with trusted partners, and choosing French wood to make our panels. Because after all, there can never be too many fairy godmothers around a crib!
Aligned with the ISO 26000 international social responsibility standard, this LUCIE certification is the business equivalent of the Max Havellar accreditation for fairtrade products.
Partnering with ethical businesses, LUCIE supports Gautier in its quest to create a positive impact on people as well as the environment. This accreditation recognises the work we have already done, but most importantly, it represents our commitment to the future: being accredited means that we are committed for a period of 3 years and constantly improving.
All the designs are tested at each stage to ensure they fully meet European standards. They are sturdy enough to withstand being assembled and dismantled several times without suffering damage, and are guaranteed for 2 years.
This means you can pass on your Galipette bedroom furniture to the next child, move house, or give your furniture a second lease of life. Durability to make your life easier!
We also pay particular attention to the panels we use, which have a formaldehyde content of 4mg per 100g – two times lower than current regulations. And even though Galipette does not produce toys, the furniture also complies with toy standard EN 71-3, which particularly covers the danger of babies ingesting products or putting them in their mouths. As a result, you can enjoy all those special moments with your child with complete peace of mind.
As you would expect, Galipette adheres to the same principle applied by the Gautier group since its inception: to build strong local partnerships and strive for excellence in terms of purchasing, quality and the traceability of raw materials.
With the exception of rails and bed bases which are purchased from selected European partners, all the wooden panels are manufactured and assembled in the Vendée.
60 years of history demonstrate that these choices play an active role in supporting surrounding areas: creating jobs within the local economy and helping preserve, develop, share and pass on expertise. This in turn supports local heritage, craftsmanship and industry.
Designed to create a safe and stylish cocoon for little ones, Galipette bedrooms offer modular furniture for the first few years of your baby’s life. This includes convertible cot beds with high quality slatted bed bases, removable changing boards to fit on top of dressers, wardrobes with reversible internal fittings and more.
